Dear Colleagues,
The 2010 Earth Day workshop comes
in a special year as it is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day that initiated an
environmental movement covering more than 180
countries around the world. Today, we recognize
the need to get forces together to protect the
planet earth. Challenges facing the environment
are as vast as cities around the world, and we
take the honor in celebrating Earth Day as we
have done every year since 1994.
The theme of this workshop is
"Mangroves and Coastal Precious Resources". We
will focus in bringing environmental concerns
about the status of mangroves and other related
issues. The topics that will be presented and
discussed will provide valuable information to
interested public as well as governmental and
environmental professionals.
The Earth Day 2010 workshop will
be held on 21st of April 2010 at Le
Meridien, Al-Khobar , Saudi Arabia. I look
